What are Amato's Chips?

They are homestyle potato chips fried and salted to order.

Are the Chips made in-house from freshly sliced potatoes?

No. We use a prepared homestyle potato-chip product and fry it to order.

What size is the order?

Chips come in one fixed size served in a one-pound paper boat for $5.

Does the order weigh exactly one pound?

No. The one-pound description refers to the paper boat size, not a guaranteed finished weight.

Are the Chips salted?

Yes. They are salted by default, but you can request unsalted or extra salted.

Can I choose how they are cooked?

Yes. You can request lightly cooked, crispy, or 'burn 'em' for extra well done.

What fryer are they cooked in?

They are cooked in the dedicated french-fry fryer, separate from Onion Rings, Chicken Tenders, and Buffalo Wings.

What oil is used?

The dedicated french-fry fryer currently uses soybean oil.

Do Chips come with sauce?

No sauce is included by default. Standard sauces are available for $0.50.

Can I order cheese sauce?

Yes. A warm 4-ounce Side of Wiz is available as a separate $1 menu item.

Can I add onions, peppers, bacon, or other toppings?

No. Chips are offered plain aside from salt level, cook preference, and optional sauces.

Are the Chips gluten-free?

We do not advertise them as certified gluten-free. They use a dedicated fryer, but Amato's is a shared kitchen and cross-contact cannot be guaranteed.
