The Whole Challenge
The Whole is usually built to share. The Whole Challenge asks one person to finish the entire 24-inch cheesesteak in thirty minutes or less.
Challenge objective
Eat one complete 24-inch Whole Cheesesteak by yourself within 30 minutes.
Prizes for a Successful Challenge

Challenge Rules

One challenger
The entire sandwich must be eaten by one person. No sharing or assistance.

Thirty-minute limit
The challenger has thirty minutes. Timing begins when the challenger takes the first bite or begins eating the first piece.

Steak cheesesteak only
The challenge uses The Whole cheesesteak. Chicken cheesesteaks are not eligible.

Required topping choice
The challenger must select at least one of the following: onions, mushrooms, or peppers.

Remain at the table
The challenger may not leave the table while the challenge is underway.

The meal must stay down
If the meal does not stay down, the challenge is not considered complete.

Recording consent
Participation requires consent to being photographed and recorded and to Amato's using the content on its website and social-media platforms.

Failed attempts are paid
If the challenge is not completed under the rules, the challenger pays the normal price of the meal.

Staff must start the challenge
Customers must speak with an Amato's staff member before beginning. A regular Whole purchase does not automatically count as an official challenge attempt.
