Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled in connection with the Amato's Cheesesteaks marketing website at www.amatoscheesesteaks.com. It does not govern information collected directly by third-party services that customers choose to visit, such as Toast or Google Maps.

Information collected automatically

The website uses Google Analytics 4 ("GA4"). When GA4 runs, it may collect information about use of the website, including:

• Approximate location derived from an IP address.
• Device, operating system, and browser information.
• Pages viewed and the referring page or source.
• Interaction events, such as clicks on ordering, phone, directions, location, and other call-to-action links.
• Online identifiers and information associated with analytics cookies.

Information you provide voluntarily

If you call or email Amato's, you may choose to provide contact details, order information, feedback, or other information needed to respond to your request. The website itself currently does not provide customer accounts, account registration, newsletter registration, or a contact form.

Google Analytics

Amato's uses GA4 to understand website traffic and engagement and to help operate and improve the website. Google may process analytics information in providing this service.

Google explains how it uses information from sites and apps that use its services on its partner sites information page. Browser settings may allow you to limit or delete cookies. Google also provides a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, although it may not be available for every browser or device.

Online ordering through Toast

Online ordering links take customers away from the Amato's website to Toast, an external service. Toast handles ordering, checkout, payment, and information submitted during checkout under Toast's own privacy terms. Amato's may receive order details from Toast as needed to prepare, fulfill, and support an order. The Amato's marketing website does not directly collect or process payment-card information.

Maps and other external links

The website links to Google Maps for directions and may link to social networks or other third-party websites. Those services are operated under their own privacy policies and practices. Amato's does not control and is not responsible for how those third parties handle information on their services.

How information is used

Information described in this policy may be used to:

• Operate, maintain, and improve the website.
• Understand website traffic, engagement, and customer interest.

• Support restaurant operations and order fulfillment.

The website does not currently set its own functional cookies or use browser local storage for customer accounts or preferences. When GA4 is active, Google Analytics may set first-party analytics cookies, commonly including cookies named _ga and _ga_<container-id>, to distinguish visits and support analytics reporting.

You can use browser controls to block or delete cookies, but doing so may affect analytics measurement. The website does not currently change its behavior in response to browser Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals.

Data retention

No fixed website-wide retention period is configured in the site code. Information is retained only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, restaurant operations, dispute resolution, security, or legal obligations. Third-party providers may apply their own retention settings and policies.

Security

Amato's and its service providers use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information and services involved. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Children's privacy

The website is intended for a general restaurant audience and is not directed to children under 13. The website does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through accounts or forms.

Changes to this Privacy Policy will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
